Designer Days: Educating, Inspiring, Connecting

At Decor-Rest Furniture Ltd., design is at the heart of everything we do. Our Designer Days are created to bring the design community together, share knowledge, and support the people behind the spaces we live in every day.

These events have been part of our journey for several years and continue to grow, always centered around connection, education, and real conversations within the industry. Bringing together interior designers, industry professionals, and creatives, Designer Days offer a space for design-focused seminars and meaningful networking within the Canadian design community.

A Look at Our Recent Designer Days

While Designer Days have been ongoing, our most recent events highlight the range of topics and voices we continue to bring into the conversation.

We’ve explored colour in depth through sessions focused on colour theory, as well as dedicated discussions around Color of the Year in collaboration with Benjamin Moore, giving designers insight into how colour direction influences interiors, furniture selection, and overall space planning.

We’ve also welcomed conversations around biophilic design, exploring the connection between nature and interiors, and how thoughtful design choices can shape how people feel within a space.

Beyond design principles, we’ve created space for meaningful connection. Our designer-focused networking events bring professionals together to mix, mingle, and build relationships, with a strong emphasis on supporting women in business and encouraging shared growth within the industry.

We’ve also had the privilege of hosting inspiring guest speakers, including an empowering voice in both trend forecasting and design, who spoke on the connection between colour, confidence, and creativity. Another session featured a podcast host who shared real experiences and perspectives from within the design world, adding a different layer of insight and storytelling to the series.

Each Designer Day is intentionally different, but the goal remains the same, to offer valuable takeaways while creating an environment where ideas, experiences, and connections can be shared openly. Designer Days have become a space for interior design education, networking, and trend discussions within the Canadian design industry, while connecting these ideas back to custom upholstery and real-life applications within the home.
